Microsoft Windows Source code leak:

On Feb 12, Microsoft came to know that portions of its Windows 2k and Windows NT source code were leaked and posted illegally on the internet. Investigations were conducted to verify if there was any breach of internal security or loopholes on Microsoft's corporate network and found that this was not the case.

Microsoft also has a Shared source initiative, which enable their customers, partners and governments to legally access Microsoft source code. The leak is not from this source also. Anyway, Microsoft is now closely working with FBI and other authorities on this matter.

There were no major problems except for a small exploit on Feb 16, on versions of Internet Explorer allegedly discovered by an individual studying the leaked source code. This was already a known bug, rectified in IE 6.0 SP1.
